We seek a talented and driven Journeyman Business and Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will support our Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) operations. The ideal candidate has proven experience in business operations or a related field, familiarity with Agile methodologies and systems requirements processes, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and presentation abilities. The person will also support the DEAMS Functional Management Office (FMO), Air Force Accounting Operations Center (AFAOC), and Air Force field commands' use of the DEAMS application.

Duties and experiences include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Serve as the task lead, acting as the central point of contact for the Government lead, ensuring timely delivery of all tasks.
  • Develop and maintain functional requirements for DEAMS releases, ensuring all program documentation is up-to-date and consistent.
  • Analyze system changes through user stories or bugs derived from various sources, such as tests, production errors, and software upgrades.
  • Participate in the DEAMS requirements working group to develop SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Testable, and Traceable) requirements for system changes and releases.
  • Regularly update the DEAMS System Capabilities Document (SCD) for each major release.
  • Create presentations, white papers, and supporting documentation to aid management in making informed decisions regarding requirements changes.
  • Maintain an Agile DEAMS Systems Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • Engage in DEAMS Work Product and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) reviews, collaborating with various teams to ensure clarity and specificity in requirements objectives.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3 to 10 years of experience

Desired Experience:

  • Working knowledge of DoD Financial Management systems, processes, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Air Force Financial Management systems, processes, and procedures
  • Functional knowledge of Federal applications of Oracle eBusiness software
  • Technical knowledge of Federal applications of Oracle eBusiness software
  • Functional Experience with Oracle Federal Financial audit capabilities
  • Working knowledge of DoD legacy financial management systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of Federal and Defense financial audit processes
  • Functional Expertise in operational Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS)

Certification Requirements:
