Your day-to-day work will include:

Aeyon is seeking an Acquisition Management Analyst to support the data management and analytics function of a large Department of Defense enterprise. In this prominent role, the Acquisition Management Analyst analyzes the data operations and environmental factors and proactively shapes strategies for Department-wide alignment, transparency, and delivery of data and analytics to fulfill Departmental needs. As a senior team member, you will apply your strategic and analytical thinking to answer critical business questions, perform deep analyses, work across functional lanes to generate solutions, and share recommendations with senior leadership to drive change.

The successful candidate will have a variety of program management office (PMO) experiences working in major defense acquisition programs and a deep knowledge of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) pathways, policies, and approaches. Experience in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OSD) is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze the current data infrastructure, policies, and processes and conduct analyses to advise and support the alignment of data and information reporting operations to acquisition and sustainment priorities and imperatives.
  • Analyze the effects of new statutes and regulations on existing policy and guidance and support prioritization of data and analytic projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain cognizance of pending legislation to support assessing issues and opportunities, support the development and coordination of formal responses, and senior leader engagement in decision processes.
  • Support data management, analytics, and infrastructure teams to integrate changes into strategic action plans to address organization priorities.
  • Support the business team to develop integrated program plans, ensuring linkage between organization priorities and the budget. Support the generation of budget-capability papers (e.g., unfunded requirements).
  • Interact with senior leaders daily to provide development and trade space recommendations.
  • Build and deliver executive-level communications to share the vision and facilitate stakeholder and leadership buy-in of strategic data initiatives.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7-10 years of program management, acquisition management, and solution delivery of cross-functional projects and programs.
  • A Senior Manager to Executive-level technical, acquisition manager, or analyst experience.
  • Skills and ability to prioritize in a demanding environment.
  • Sound understanding of incremental delivery and the value of metrics.
  • Strong project management, delivery process/methodology, and project management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Acquisition policy (DoD 5000 series; Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF); strategy with hands-on experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desired – background in federal/defense decisions support systems; data analysis/performance measurement; modeling programmatic (cost/schedule/performance/risk); training and education; design and delivery (In person and virtual); portfolio/program/project leadership/management; strategy implementation & leading change; requirements analysis; system functional design/development, testing, and implementation.
  • Desired – Proficient with acquisition reporting and analysis (Selected Acquisition Report (SAR) and Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES)) and associated data management systems.

Education Requirements:

Mandatory: Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Sciences, or Business

Certification Requirements:

Waivable/Substitutable: DAWIA certification or meeting equivalent requirements in Program Management or other DAWIA certifications are desired.

Work hours:

Here at Aeyon we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/ life balance. The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we do realize that life happens, and things come up. Many of our positions allow some flexibility in the work schedule for unforeseen events so that our employees can maintain a 40-hour work week and still have the opportunity to meet other obligations during the workday.
