Your day-to-day work will include:

Support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for the evaluation, planning, testing, reporting, corrective action plan development and execution, and audit response support required by DLA as a service provider to user entities to prepare for and successfully engage in a Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE), No. 18 System and Organization Controls (SOC) 1 for Service Owned Items in DLA Custody (SOIDC). Additionally, the candidate will help provide reasonable assurance over the design and operating effectiveness of controls performed by DLA and its subservice organizations affecting user entities internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR).

Duties and expectations include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide oversight and management to a team of contractors to support SSAE-18 SOC 1 audit
  • Ensure proper oversight to specify control objectives, assess risk, identify internal controls, and develop and/or validate end-to-end (E2E) process documentation.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure technical guidance is provided to the team to assist DLA with their objectives.
  • Act as a liaison with the Independent Public Accountant (IPA) to clearly and concisely explain complex matters to support the DLA SOC 1 objectives and tasks.
  • Provide oversight during the identification of Business Process Controls and Business Process Application Controls
  • Provide guidance and oversight during the evaluation and testing of internal controls design and operating effectiveness, to include providing advice, consultation, review, edit, development, and execution of test of design (ToD) and test of effectiveness (ToE)
  • Support the identification and documentation of subservice providers (SSO)
  • Provide oversight to Complimentary User Entity Controls (CUEC)
  • Understanding of GAAP, GAGAS, OMB A-123, FISCAM, ICOFR/ICOFS and FASAB.


Mandatory: Eleven (11) or more years’ of experience in a related field

Preferred: GAAP/GAGAS/ICOR experience

OMB Circulars A-134, A-136 and other OMB policies, SSAC, and SFFAS experience

DoD and DLA financial management policies and procedures

DLA policies, systems and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property and material management

3+ years of management experience.


Mandatory: CISA or similar professional certification required (i.e CIA, etc)

Education Requirements:

Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. A minimum of 20 CPE credits each fiscal year and 120 credits over a three-year rolling period.

Work hours:

Here at Aeyon we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/ life balance. The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we do realize that life happens, and things come up. Many of our positions allow some flexibility in the work schedule for unforeseen events so that our employees can maintain a 40-hour work week and still have the opportunity to meet other obligations during the workday.
