Your day-to-day work will include:

Financial Management Analyst position supports the Marine Corps 2D Marine Expeditionary Force team and their mission to ensure the best financial stewardship practices are conducted. Provides support for establishing and maintaining an effective Managers' Internal Control Program (MICP) to meet the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA) objectives. Provide guidance and support for implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets and guidance and recommendations on effective and efficient methods for acquiring and using funds to support the organization's programs and activities. This includes providing Support Agreement Manager (SAM) and procurement system services within the Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-stock, Acquire-to-Retire, and Order-to-Cash business processes. Lastly, this effort deeply involves assisting the supply and logistics community with developing well-defined requirements, developing costing methodologies, cradle-to-grave oversight of the procurement lifecycle, and validations under DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR) and other regulatory policies. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and communication with personnel through the financial transaction life cycles.

DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Support the Financial Management Team lead with transferring financial needs between financial systems.
  • Support the Financial Management Team lead ensuring current and previous year financial transactions are reconciled monthly to meet audit initiatives.
  • Support the planning, policy, execution, reporting, and oversight of Financial Management (FM) Operations.
  • Supervise junior financial managers.
  • Support FY Closeout guidance formulation, execution, and certification.
  • Support the creation and provision of financial management training, assistance, and inspection programs.
  • Develop and implement Quality Control (QC) over financial reconciliations.
  • Support the formulation and execution of FM policies and procedures.
  • Provide consultation on fiscal law considerations.
  • Formulate and provide briefings related to FM Operations.
  • Support developing and implementing the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) program and procedures.
  • Conduct robust analytics and apply statistical tests in business situations.
  • Utilize data to inform business decisions.
  • Communicate complex analytical concepts concisely, easy-to-understand to senior leaders.
  • Define and scope vague problems; turn them into successful analytical projects with little guidance.
  • Serve on a team; communicate with organizations and establish positive working relationships.
  • Maintain proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

8 years of full-time experience (including internships) providing financial management-related services.

SYSTEM SPECIFIC:

DAI Procure to Pay (P2P) Requisition, ADVANA Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DAR-Q), Wide Area Workflow, Defense Travel Systems (DTS), SAMRTS, DoN ARC Tool.

Work hours:

Here at Aeyon we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/ life balance. The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we do realize that life happens, and things come up. Many of our positions allow some flexibility in the work schedule for unforeseen events so that our employees can maintain a 40-hour work week and still have the opportunity to meet other obligations during the workday.
