AEYON POSITION TITLE: Business Development Associate

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL


The Business Development Associate will work closely with the Director of NASA Growth to oversee a portfolio of strategic business development opportunities and project needs.

To provide business advice and solution support, the individual must be conversant and comfortable working with clients and colleagues at all levels. The ability to learn quickly and take the initiative is critical.

The position requires a familiarity with the federal contracting marketplace, notably NASA or other Civilian agencies, and experience with business development processes and operations.

The candidate must be able to adapt to rapidly evolving circumstances and opportunities. Key support areas include:

  • Manage and execute projects supporting corporate and business development efforts, often working independently and within tight deadlines. Analyze government solicitations, write proposal content, capture expertise from SMEs, and perform independent research.
  • Support a diverse portfolio of strategic opportunities involving Missions Services (Scheduling, Earned Value Management, Cost Estimating & Analysis, Risk Management), Digital Transformation, Data Management & Analytics, Engineering & Science, and Financial Management. Technical expertise in one of these areas is desirable.
  • Support the Growth team’s strategy and assist in managing a pipeline of opportunities to expand the business line across DoD, NASA, and Civilian agencies. Adhere to corporate policies and processes governing these efforts.

Some combination of the following skills/experience is desirable:

  • Corporate development / federal capture
  • Aerospace engineering background
  • Strategic communications
  • Technical writing/editing
  • Pipeline management
  • Proposal development and management




5+ years of related experience.
