JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Program Analyst will provide expert program/project management support and technical assistance to NASA GRC in activities associated with the Fission Surface Power (FSP) projects managed under the GRC Space Flight Systems (SFS) Directorate (Code M) and Space Technology Projects Office (Code MT).

• Provide integrated PP&C expertise in support of NASA Procedural Requirement (NPR) 7120.5 NASA Space Flight Program and Project Management Handbook, NPR 7120.8 NASA Research and Technology Program and Project Management Requirements, and related Program/Project and Scheduling handbooks.

• Collect, maintain, and report progress for the FSP project actions including GAO and OIG audit actions. Maintain an Action Items log. Serve as primary interface with action owners and interface with the FSP Project Manager and others regarding project document updates.

• Provide periodic integrated schedule updates to the project team and/or project schedule support for clear, cohesive, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual Actions, Technical, Cost, Schedule, Risk, Concerns, and Overall Project Activities (TCSR) for project management milestones & reporting.

• Responsible for scheduling conference rooms/meetings.

• Maintain connection and awareness of up-to-date Materials with the EVM Working Group.

• Schedule and support various meetings by capturing meeting minutes/actions etc.

• Interact with all stakeholders to ensure the program is meeting performance goals and contribute to the efficient execution of the program.

• Provide support to FSP management for covering every aspect of the project execution and acquisition process, such as integration, technical assistance, program control, test and evaluation, deployment, configuration management, production and manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics support.

• Provide business support tools to assist with integration of data for reporting and responses to actions.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree, MS/MA desired

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

• 10 years of applicable experience desired

• Prior PP&C experience desired

• Prior experience reviewing/developing/updating Handbooks.

• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, able to work with different level of management

• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
