Your day-to-day work will include the following:

Aeyon is looking for someone with DoD financial management experience to provide administrative and budget support to the Army Budget Office. All work supports executive leaders with myriad tasks supporting the development and rollout of the Army’s annual President’s Budget request. Many of these tasks include familiarization and experience with the Federal Budget Process, specifically the Budget Formulation. Duties require experience in the PPBE process, with a general understanding of the President’s Budget (PB), Budget Estimate Submission (BES), and the Program Objective Memorandum (POM). Individuals must have a strong understanding and working knowledge of Army Appropriations (MILPERS, O&M, Procurement, RDT&E, and MILCON) and funding elements (Budget Activity Group, Sub Activity Group, etc.) Examples of additional tasks include designing and developing Army Executive Leadership briefings and materials (script writings, information papers, overview books). Aeyon seeks someone with strong verbal and written communication skills who has experience working in a fast-paced environment and has superior attention to detail. The individual will manage and execute projects and sub-tasks as their client provides them. Other tasks could include Mid-Year Review, Year-End Closeout, and Budget Estimate Submission. Individuals will review all documentation prepared by government personnel and are responsible for the initial drafting of final project reports before submission for approval. They prepare work products with high visibility by Army senior leaders. They assume responsibility for coordinating subordinate activities and interface with the client daily.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS:

5.3.1 The contractor shall assist in preparing and issuing annual documents that support the formulation,

submission, and defense of the Army program and budget, including policy and guidance. The policy includes regulations such as AR 1-1.

5.3.2 Publication of Resource Formulation Guide (RFG) Volume 3, Integrated Program and Budget Data Call; and the development, preparation, and publication of briefings and booklets associated with the release of the Army’s portion of the President’s Budget.

5.3.3 Updating volumes of the RFG that address the procedures applicable to HQDA-level implementation of the

PPBE process. This includes but is not limited to the following topics: automated systems supporting PPBE.

Formulation, submission, and defense of the Program Objective Memorandum, the Program and Budget Review, the President’s Budget, and the overview of the PPBE process.

5.3.4 Authoring, or co-authoring with government personnel, one article per year for publication in the Army’s Resource Management publication or similar professional journal. The article will address a timely topic in Army resource management. The topic may be designated by the government or approved by the government following the contractor’s recommendation.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Scriptwriting (supporting the Annual Budget Highlights Book)
  • Content review and editing (Annual Budget Highlights Book)
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Briefing Army Senior Leaders (GOs, SESs, and GS15s)
  • Process various poster/signage job orders with DLA and the White House (depending on the size)
  • Build PB Rollout binders and other supporting documents (I.e., folders and trifold to be presented to key personnel)
  • Be available to aid with the preparation of products associated with other annual processes/reports
  • Ability to create book covers/ presentations with authorized photos utilizing a photo editing tool such as one of the following Photoshop/ Graphic Design/ PowerPoint photo editing.
  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to perform with minimal guidance and oversight.

  • High level of organizational skills

Education Requirements:

Mandatory:

Advanced degree in management, accounting, economics, or finance with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience

OR

14 years of relevant experience with no degree and experience in one of the functional areas or related disciplines included in the description of operational expertise.

Certification Requirements:

The following Certifications are not mandatory:

  • CDFM/ CGFM/ PMP

Work hours:

Here at Aeyon, we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/ life balance. The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we realize that life happens, and things come up.
