Job Description:

The Principal Technical Expert Consultant ‐ Intermediate will support the Acquisition Policy & Innovation (API) Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Sustainment) (OUSD (A&S)). The consultant will provide support to emerging program management requirements for new or expanded API programs initiated as a result of acquisition reform initiatives, digital modernization of acquisition, National Defense Authorization Act or Appropriation Act requirements, National Defense Strategy objectives, Executive Orders, or Senior Defense Executive initiatives. The consultant will provide intermediate Technical Program Analyst expertise necessary to digest new program requirements and objectives and recommend, prepare, implement, and manage a plan to achieve, measure, and monitor the achievement of program objectives. Additionally, the consultant will provide necessary briefings, coordination, status reports, and related materials for the new/expanded program(s).

The consultant will need to be proficient with the following systems and tools: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Explorer, Edge, SharePoint, Teams, Adobe Acrobat Professional, DoD Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).

Experience Requirements:

The Contractor shall have significant demonstrated mid-to-executive-level technical experience with DoD advanced technology programs, the management of technical projects, or equivalent occupational experience with 3 years or more of relevant experience. Additionally, the contractor shall have experience providing expert technical and managerial leadership and direct support for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of complex projects and programs.

Relevant Experience means experience within the typical duties of or directly related to the labor category such that, with minimal learning curve, the individual can perform required tasks. Personnel must be able to obtain and maintain the required Clearance and Common Access Card. All levels (i.e. basic, intermediate, and advanced) may be required for each IDIQ Labor Category.

The Contractor shall have a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
