We have an exciting opportunity for a 5 Axis CNC Programmer to join the team with our Facilities and Testing Division.
The 5 Axis CNC Programmer will:
• Interpret Technical Drawings and use knowledge to set up metalworking processes, work holding fixtures, process steps, equipment, and tooling selection.
• Efficiently write programs on 3, 4 & 5 axis machines in the language of the machine’s controller using Mastercam.
• Setup and prove out processes with Machinist on 5 Axis DMG Mori Seiki CNC machines.
• Siemens Controller experience a must.
• Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed for machine workpieces, which proves development.
• Design and manufacture part holding fixtures for High Mix - Low Volume production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues, fixtures, machines, tooling, etc.
• Work with and provide feedback to various departments and customers.
• Monitor CNC processes and implement proactive solutions, process improvements, line flow, quality, and efficiency.
• Experience with aerospace metal manufacturing, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Hastelloy, and Inconel.
• Perform other duties as required.
Requisition Qualifications:
• Typically requires an HS diploma and 10 years of experience or BS in Engineering Technology or a related field and 5 years of experience.
• Must have Mastercam, DMG, MORI & Mazak 5-Axis experience.
• Excellent verbal communication and written presentation skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis in CNC, lathes, and mills.
• Strong computer skills and experience in utilizing software tools such as Mastercam, CREO (version 5 preferred), Microsoft Word and Excel, Office, and Outlook.
• Able to make independent, technical, and tactical decisions with a high attentiveness to detail.
Requisition Preferences:
• 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis in CNC, lathes, mills, and sheet metal fabrication or previous working experience in a metalworking manufacturing setting with a structured quality system.
• Experience with machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and composite manufacturing.
• Experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Medical manufacturing environment.
• A working knowledge of the NASA/JSC drawing system JSC 8500.4, the Engineering Drawing Control Center (EDCC), and the Design and Data Management System (DDMS).
• Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation for Class 1 Flight Hardware, including material test reports, compliance certificates, heat treatment, and other quality records.

Work hours:
Here at Aeyon we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/ life balance. The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we do realize that life happens, and things come up. Many of our positions allow some flexibility in the work schedule for unforeseen events so that our employees can maintain a 40-hour work week and still have the opportunity to meet other obligations during the workday.
