Your day-to-day work will include:

Generally, the Senior Financial Analyst will support the planning, policy, formulation, execution, accounting, reporting, and oversight of Financial Management (FM) and Supply/Logistics operations. The candidate will also support the execution of a Resource Evaluation and Analysis (RE&A) program, Business Process Improvement (BPI), and the implementation of automation technology.

The following knowledge and skillsets are preferred:

Resource Evaluation & Analysis

  • Establishment and maintenance of an effective Manager’s Internal Control Program (MICP) to meet the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA) objectives.
  • Preparation of Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) and annual Statement of Assurance (SOA).
  • Financial Management Evaluation and Analysis (FMEA) assessments.
  • Conduct investigations into potential Anti-Deficiency Act (ADA) violations and Un-Authorized Commitments (UACs).
  • Funds Manager training and administration of the DoD Financial Management Certification Program.
  • Internal controls over user access, roles, and responsibilities within the client’s business systems.
  • Coordination of internal and external audits and inspections, including, but not limited to: Government Accountability Office (GAO), Naval Audit Service, the Marine Corps Inspector General (MCIG) and Commanding General Inspection programs, HQMC FMEA, Field Supply & Maintenance Analysis Office (FSMAO) and Logistics Readiness Evaluations (LRE), Marine Corps Administrative Analysis Team (MCAAT), and the Aviation Logistics Department (ALD) Wing Aviation Supply Management Advisory Team (WASMAT).

Business Process Improvement

  • Review and revision of existing business process documentation, including flowcharts, narratives, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Development of additional Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) related business process documentation.
  • Development and implementation of policy, oversight, and broad management of the supply system (e.g., GCSS-MC) infrastructure.
  • Establishment, review, and editing of supply and property control and policy documents, briefings, and spreadsheets regarding system functionality.
  • Implementation of emergent required changes to business processes.
  • Coordination and reporting on Corrective Action Plans development, implementation, and remediation for identified deficiencies and material weaknesses.

Financial Management and Logistics Support

  • Outlining processes, reviewing policies, and assisting in financial reporting utilizing automated process improvement and corrective action identification.
  • Isolation and definition of unknown conditions, resolving critical problems, and developing new theories concerning financial processes, budgeting, accounting, and internal controls.
  • Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets and advise on effective and efficient methods for acquiring and applying funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
  • Facilitation of Support Agreement Manager (SAM) services.
  • Coordination, dissemination, and analysis of financial transactions to ensure that units are conducting regular reviews and reconciliations in preparation for, and during the conduct of, the Dormant Account Review-Quarterly (DAR-Q);
  • Analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to determine trends and process improvement opportunities.

Requirements Identification & Process Integration

  • Coordinate the implementation of a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) environment and architecture that integrates existing technological capabilities with command-specific and user-community requirements.
  • Application of RPA processes and technology, including corporate and client reporting requirements.
  • Analysis of business process documentation and validate existing documentation to support implementation utilizing data and analytic output from RPA.

Education Requirements:

Waiverable/Substitutable: Bachelor’s degree; 4 years of additional work can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

8-12+ years of full-time progressive experience (including internships) providing Federal financial management, internal controls, and financial statement audit-related services.

Certification Requirements:

CDFM, CPA, CIA, and PMP are desired but not required.

Work hours:

Here at Aeyon we believe in creating an environment that fosters a healthy work/ life balance. The typical day consists of a 9-5 Monday-Friday work schedule totaling 40 hours per week, but we do realize that life happens, and things come up. Many of our positions allow some flexibility in the work schedule for unforeseen events so that our employees can maintain a 40-hour work week and still have the opportunity to meet other obligations during the workday.
